Surrounding Wee Waa are a few little villages. They are about 50kms away and well worth a visit, as they have their own style and very different in each community. Strong, resilient communities that have survived the test of time.
The one thing they have in common is they each have hot bore baths. The water comes from the Great Artesian Basin and is approximately two million years old. Bore depth is logged at 689.8m (2262ft) and natural pressure sends the water to the surface through an artesian bore and it maintains a constant temperature of approx 41.5 degrees Celsius.
